Jeff Lost His Combo, Then He Got It Back
The Snook starting hitting and a client placed Jeff’s new Ugly Stik Shimano Baitrunner Combo down, and thats the bait that was hit. The rod went overboard and it was gone. Flash forward 4 weeks and Mike Wallace snags the bottom and hooks the lost combo. Its been in nasty river water for a month, can Jeff repair the reel and restore it to working conditions? Or is the reel lost forever, just to be added to the junk pile of reels? Jeff takes all his knowledge of reel and lubricants and begins the repair and restore process of the Shimano Baitcaster reel. Have you ever revived a reel that has been submerged under water for a long time? Please comment on any reel repair suggestions or tips you may have.
