Happy Bait Beach Fishing with Live pilchards. At the beginning of the Fall Mullet Run, Snook swim along the beaches, use a lively pilchard to catch them. You can catch the pilchards alot of different ways, by Sabiki rig (tiny hooks) or you can cast net them if you have a net with a small enough mesh. Keep a few baits in a bucket and replace the salt water with your 2nd bucket every 10 – 15 minutes. If you put too many pilchards in the bucket they will get weak and die, so keep it fresh!
